Verified AI bot analytics for WordPress

AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so normal analytics never sees them. The plugin runs on your server, checks every AI-bot visit against the official IP ranges, and shows you who's real.

Install: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the zip → Activate. Then open Tools → AI Bot Analytics. Coming to the wordpress.org directory soon. Blocking fakes with page caching on? Read the WordPress guide.

Real vs fake, per bot

Every request that claims to be GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Amazonbot, Meta's crawlers and more is checked against the operator's official IP list.

What AI actually reads

See which of your pages verified AI crawlers fetch, so you know what ends up in AI search and training.

Visitors from AI assistants

Counts visits referred by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Mistral and DeepSeek.

Block fake AI bots

Optional: return 403 to requests that claim a verifiable bot but come from the wrong IP. Safe, because a genuine request can't fail the check.

Works behind Cloudflare

Reads the real visitor IP from Cloudflare or your own reverse proxy, without trusting headers a scanner could forge.

Your data stays yours

Only daily counts, stored in your own database. No visitor data is ever sent to us; the optional daily bot-list download is a plain file request.

How it works

  1. Once a day the plugin downloads our public bot list: user-agent patterns plus the IP ranges OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Microsoft, Apple and others publish.
  2. When a request says it's an AI bot, the plugin checks the visitor IP against that operator's list.
  3. It adds one to a daily counter: real, fake, or can't verify (operators that publish no list, or a proxy that hides the IP).
